Please bring:

- a pair of knitting needles and a crochet hook of a suitable size for the yarn you choose
- a darning needle and some scrap yarn (thinner than the yarn you will knit with), for practicing adding a lifeline.
Pre-work - please cast on around 10-20 stitches and knit a few rows in stockinette stitch before the workshop.
INTRODUCTION TO FAIR ISLE/STRANDED COLOURWORK - Christine Warren
Please bring:
- Approximately 200 metres of 8ply (DK) yarn for the main colour (MC)
- Contrast colour: you can bring your own (small/scrap quantities), or a selection will be provided.
- Needles: A 4mm circular needle (either 40cm or 60cm long) or the correct size to obtain the required tension (22 stitches and 30 rounds to 10cm over stocking stitch in the round).
- Many people find that their tension is tighter when knitting colourwork – you may want to bring a circular needle one size larger than your main needle, e.g. 4.5mm.
- Scissors, stitch markers, ruler (to keep track of chart progress)
Pre-work: using your 4mm circular needle, please cast on 120 stitches and work 12 rows (approx 4cm) of K2, P2 ribbing in the round.
Note: If you are unfamiliar with knitting in the round, you can work the initial ribbing section flat and join later.
(ALMOST) STARTER CROCHET: Let's make a bag! - Chloe Hickey
Please bring:
- 4mm crochet hook
- Two colours of 8 Ply cotton (or wool if you prefer) - approx 40gm of each
