Bendigo Woollen Mills has been manufacturing yarn in Bendigo, Australia for over 40 years. Supporting local farmers, the majority of our fibre is sourced right here in Australia.
Most of our range is made on site, with a small selection of specialty yarns imported. We invite you to visit us at our Bendigo Factory Shop (6 days a week) or shop online for yarn, patterns and tools with us 24/7.

The majority of our yarn range is Australian-made, with our core range of yarns being manufactured right here in Bendigo. For the smaller selection of yarns we import, we carefully choose our manufacturing partners to ensure the products are high quality and a fair value. Read about our manufacturing processes here.
What is the cost for shipping orders?
Orders within Australia are shipped free if they are over $90. Orders under $90 will incur a flat shipping rate of $9.95. International shipping is calculated at checkout if we offer shipping to the country. Read about our shipping processes here.
How long does it usually take to ship an order?
If the yarn you order is in stock, we usually ship within three business days (often faster). Your parcel is sent via Australian Post, and delivery time then varies based on where you are in Australia (usually 2-5 business days).
It may take us a little longer to dispatch orders after a sale event or over the Xmas holiday season, as our order volume can be higher and we don't have a large team.
If you order a yarn that is a 'pre-order' it will usually take 2-4 weeks. This is because we need to create a new dye-lot for the yarn.
Do you design your own Knit & Crochet Patterns?
Yes, we have a large range of knitting, and a small selection of crochet, patterns that we professionally design right here in Bendigo to suit our yarns. We also offer a range of Independent Designer Patterns on our website.
