Want to use Lilt with another BWM yarn?
You can hold Lilt together with any of our Bendigo Woollen Mills yarns to make your favourite patterns. You can 'match' the colours or contrast the colours for a marled effect...your only limit is your imagination!
Due to the halo of the mohair, it performs a little differently than other yarns you'd hold together, giving the combined yarn more density than you might expect. We'd recommend swatching before commencing a project to get a sense of the finished 'fabric' you'll be creating, but as a guide:
- A 4 ply yarn held with one strand of Lilt would usually work with a 8 ply project
- An 8 ply yarn held with Lilt could work with a 10 ply or 12 ply project.
