Meet Joey the Firefighter Koala €“ a brave baby koala who fights fires to save the homes of his friends. The finished koala ends up approximately 12cm tall when sitting down (including hat) using similar yarn and hook size. Thinner yarn and a smaller hook size will produce a smaller koala, and vice versa.
Gauge is not important - just make sure the stitches are tight enough so that the stuffing doesn't show through.
The pattern uses UK terminology.
Requirements: 8ply Cotton
Head, body, arms, legs, outer ears: Glacier
Body, arms: French Navy
Inner ears, jacket, hat: Snow
Nose: Noir
Jacket, hat: Daffodil
Note: you will need to use a small amount of yarn for each of the colours, less than 1 full ball
3mm crochet hook, yarn needle, polyester fiberfill stuffing, stitch marker or piece of scrap yarn to mark the start of each round, black thread to embroider eyes.
