Alpaca 8 ply

The Alpaca 8 ply Was nice to knit and I am very happy with it.
But the ELIXIR Blue I got was terrible as it was not wound properly and puckered with one strand out of the three all the time again and again .
Would not bay this again.The ELIXIR blue get only 1 star. the gray had a silver fleck in it, but was spun ok.

Just love this "Old Gold" colour in the 8ply Alpacca. It is very fine and should make a lovely soft, cuddly jumper. I've only knitted about 8 inches so far in a kind of basket weave pattern.....looking good. I tried taking a phone, however the colour just won't come out properly?? Great in person though!

Beautiful soft yarn and knits so evenly

The Alpaca 8 ply was a joy to knit with. I created a (brioche) scarf using blue and cream to create a gorgeous soft, warm scarf for a special friend.

Fluff tends to come off onto clothes while working.

The alpaca wool is lovely to work with as it feels very warm and soft.

I assume that alpaca goes further than normal 8ply as I purchased 5 balls to knit a sleeveless vest and only used 3 for the vest plus part of a ball for the bands. The pattern said 3 x200 gm balls of 8 ply.But of a mistake considering it was $ 20 a ball

Loved it. My only complaint was that I thought a 4.5 hook worked better than a 4.00 hook. But that was a very minor issue. I’ll certainly buy more.

The wool arrived on time. The wool is lovely and the Colour is great.

Only just started, but a lovely yarn, beautiful colour and pleasure to knit.

Pattern fairly simple but knitting it is tricky. I am on the second time around and this time being very careful that I count and record where I am when I put the knitting down to do something else. The wool is soft and a nice shade
