The Four Way Stop blanket is a gorgeous baby blanket tHat/beanie's a great opportunity to learn some new techniques. Done mostly in stockinette, it's a nice relaxing knit with a bit of interest in every row with the squishy garter stitch border, mid-row colour change, and modified corner-to-corner construction.
The pattern has full tutorials included on how to work the cast on, knit German Short Rows, and change colours in the middle of a row. So if you're an adventurous beginner or intermediate knitter who's been wanting to learn these essential knitting skills, this pattern's a great excuse to do so.
Requirements:
4 x 200g BWM Cotton or Luxury 10ply, 1 each of 4 colours
2 sets 4.5mm needles (80cm or longer), 4 stitch markers, blocking boards and pins, or other blocking materials.
