Designed by Tanya Johnson of SupaKnit
Like a hug from a friend, this scarf makes a lovely gift. A great stash buster project suitable for intermediate or advanced beginners looking for a challenge.
Knitted in a triangular shape, the majority of the project is simple garter stitch. There is some simple colourwork and some simple lacework towards the end, and the scarf is cast off with a decorative popcorn band.
Special instructions for the popcorn bind off are included in the pattern. A video tutorial can be found by contacting the designer (contact details within pattern).
Measurements: 170cm long from tip to tip (183cm measured around the curve). 41cm at the deepest point.
Requirements:
BWM Luxury 10ply 200g, x 2 balls in 2 complementary colours
5mm circular knitting needles, 40-80cm long
darning needle, scissors
(Sample knitted in Luxury Coastal Blue 310 and Shadow 364)
Tension: is not crucial for this pattern, however adjust your needle size as needed to get dimensions of finished piece as shown in pattern instructions.
