Designed by Tanya Johnson of SupaKnit
I've knitted this thick yet cozy beanie in honour of my friend Teneal's Australian wilderness hikes. It is made from 12 ply Bendigo Woollen Mills Classic yarn; the colour is chosen inspired by the eucalypt trees. A practical design, this is a snug fit with a slight slouch so it can be worn single brim or folded up.
The cables add extra thickness for warmth, and the wool is perfect for regulating temperature and moisture wicking. The beanie is knitted in the round from the brim up on 6mm 16€ needles. This pattern is great for advanced beginners or intermediate knitters.
Size: Adult, average head from 58cm circumference.
Measurement: 21cm length, 34cm circumference.
