PT 8417 - Star Top - Knitting Pattern
An ideal Spring/Summer Knit, this short sleeved top features an interesting and pretty textured star stitch pattern. Using mostly simple knit and purl stitches, the pattern style is created over an 8 stitch repeat and an 8 row repeat. Available in a wide range of sizes.
Knit from bottom up in pieces.
22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking stitch using 3.75mm needles.
This pattern is written for Cotton 8 ply.
1 pair each 3.25mm & 3.75mm knitting needles, 3.25mm crochet hook, 1 stitch holder.

Most of the pattern is knit and purl over an eight row repeat. To create the 'star', you use this combination: P3tog, leave sts on needle, yrn, purl same 3 sts tog, sl sts off needle. To create the neck edge, you'll use double crochet.
