Classic 8 ply

Fast delivery, high quality yarn. I was using it to make the white chevron on a colourwork knitted hat. Recipient of hat very happy.

I have been using bendigo wool for the last 25 years and love it.

Beautiful colour and crotchets up well

Classic is a great all-rounder. There is great variety in the colours. And the plain texture lends itself to combinations with other yarns to create texture and colour contrasts. My only down note is that colours are sometimes retired. I used to use Lichen green a great deal. It was a great background colour, very versatile and I miss it.
However I love exploring the new colours that are recruited in Classic.

Loved knitting with this yarn, a new cable jumper for mum(91). The colour looked lighter when it arrived BUT knitted up darker into the perfect light blue. I'm posting the lovely parcel off to her today. Thank you Bendigo Woollen Mills for your excellent customer service😊🧶

I'm using the holly in a Clan Munro tartan fly plaid, where a scarlet is required against a dark red. The holly represents the scarlet while some cherry red I had already, represents the red. I had to de-ply the holly, which actually has 3 plies, to match my 2 ply, and it worked out very well. It's a work in progress, but I'll attach a pic of some Clan Mackenzie scarves I've made.

This colour is so versatile. I love it. I have used this colour in a few projects now. I’m I’m sure I will use it again.

Straw pairs really well with Golden Harvest & Pale Eucalyptus. I’ve also added Mallard into the mix.

I have been knitting 8 ply Classic for over 40 years and find it suits our cold climate. I have received many compliments. As I get older I am limited to doing more simple patterns.

Love the entire range of wools available from Bendigo Woollen mills from Classic, Luxury, Alpaca and rustic tweed. Have enjoyed knitting all of them over time. Just finished knitting myself an alpaca jumper and currently working on a garter stitch jacket for my daughter. Also loved knitting children’s jumpers also

I did use a larger crochet hook as was too dense with smaller hook, hence using more yarn, hope I have purchased enough to complete my blanket 🤞

I have always used Luxury 8 ply for my rugs, but my grandson likes the Indian Blue which is a Classic colour. I find this wool is quite hard by comparison and also can split more easily with complicated stitches. I will choose the Luxury next time.
