This pattern uses a 2-round repeat to produce a fabric tHat/beanie is thick, squishy and textured. You'll use a variation on the traditional crochet "cross-stitch", combined with back loop stitches to create the appearance of a garden trellis (hence the name).
This is an intermediate-level pattern, as the crown is quite complicated.

Any 8ply BWM Wool, approx 200m (1/2 of a standard 200g ball)
Yarn Needle
5mm Crochet Hook
Gauge: Htr - 8 sts and 8 rows in 2" square
