This Tunisian crochet blanket features beautiful gumnut blossoms and leaves. The design is created using Tunisian reverse stitches and Tunisian knit stitches. The blossoms are embroidered on using a contrast colour yarn after the blanket has been crocheted and blocked.

The blanket can be made baby size with Cotton 8 ply, kid size with Luxury 8 ply, or throw size with Luxury 10 ply.

The pattern is suitable for beginners and includes written instructions, stitch tutorial videos, embroidery video, and charts.

Baby size

Measurement: 76 x 90cm

Tension: 18 sts x 21 rows over 10cm in Tunisian knit stitch (unblocked)

Materials required:

  • BWM Cotton 8ply x 3 balls in MC, 1 ball in CC (less than 100m used).
  • 6mm Tunisian crochet hook with 30cm cable

Kid size

Measurement: 101 x 121 cm 

Tension: 13.5 sts x 15.5 rows over 10cm in Tunisian knit stitch (unblocked)

Materials required:

  • BWM Luxury 8ply x 6 balls MC, 1 ball CC (less than 100m used)
  • 8mm Tunisian crochet hook with 50cm cable

Throw size

Measurement: 127 x 149cm

Tension: 11 sts x 13 rows over 10cm in Tunisian knit stitch (unblocked)

Materials required:

  • BWM Luxury 10ply x 9 balls MC, 1 ball CC (about 100m used)
  • AND 10mm Tunisian crochet hook with 60cm cable

All sizes: yarn needle and stitch markers x 16 in 2 different colours (if working from chart)
