Whimsical Hearts Wall Hanging PDF

This crochet pattern works up quickly to make a whimsical heart wall hanging. This pretty wall art is a perfect gift for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, baby showers or birthdays. Pattern contains detailed instructions including instructional photos, instructions for testing tension/gauge with other yarns, a stitch abbreviations chart, and instructions for special/less common stitches. 

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate (Stitching around wooden dowels can be a little challenging at first. It should be achievable for an experienced beginner willing to stretch their skills!)

MATERIALS REQUIRED 

Oddments of BWM Cotton 8ply or preferred yarn (less than 50m / 20g used in 8ply Cotton)

Samples shown in Cotton 8ply Pomegranate 819 and Pretty Pink 873, but any yarn and weight can be used. See instructions on testing tension with other yarns for best results.

2.0mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge

2 thin wooden dowels 15cm (6"), or longer length required if using a thicker yarn

Tools and materials for blocking: foam mat, rust-proof pins, spray bottle or bowl for water

Optional: small square of quilting cotton (10x12.5cm, or 4x5"), and 2 tiny safety pins

Measurements (cm approx):  using 8ply Cotton, the crochet section measures 16x12cm (6x5"). Entire length from top to end of tassels measures approx 40cm (16") long

TENSION 21sts x 13rows in treble stitch over 10x10cm (4x4"), after blocking
