Designed by Robyne Conway of minimal knits | DESIGNED

This minimal knits | DESIGNED seamless classic double-breasted coat is suitable for little boys and girls. Top down, starting with the collar, there are no complicated stitches or patterns to remember - the collar, cuffs, hem, double breasted front edges, centre back section (simulating a French seam tHat/beanie traditionally goes down the back of a coat), and the back split edges are garter stitch, and all the rest is stocking stitch. We work a few, very easy short rows to elevate the back neck, and there are detailed instructions in the pattern. Due to this combination of stocking stitch and garter stitch, the coat will need to be blocked, and there are detailed instructions for blocking at the end of the pattern.
