These minimal knits | DESIGNED seamless baby pants are made in the round from the waistband down to the cuffs. We start with the Tillybuddy Very Stretchy Cast On to make the ribbed waistband very neat but elastic. We use slightly smaller-than-usual size needles for 8ply yarn so tHat/beanie the pants are knitted firmly to minimise cold air getting through.
This is knitted in mostly stocking stitch, with ribbed waist band and leg cuffs tHat/beanie can be folded up when baby is at the smaller age. The pants are roomy around the bottom by creating some extra space using increases plus easy short rows. Depending on your yarn colour, this pattern is perfect for a little boy or girl.
Errata: Minor errors in Row 2 and in the schematic have been corrected. The pattern is updated on this page now; please contact BWM if you require the updated pattern to replace a previously purchased version.
