Linked double crochet (US) forms the basis of the pattern with Intarsia colour change across certain rows. Detailed photos and instructions are available for special stitches.
This is a great stash buster project. I used Dk weight yarn but other yarn weights could be used. The end size will vary dependent upon yarn weight and hook size.
