This FREE beanie pattern features a playful popcorn stitch to add personality to your wardrobe!
Named after my niece Lily, this beanie is cute, cheeky and full of charm. It is knit in the round from the bottom up, with a seamed double brim for comfort. Instructions to work the popcorn stitches are included.
Techniques used: knit in the round, knit, purl, popcorn, ktog - knit two together (decrease), ALSO knit working yarn together with cast-on edge to form a double brim.
Size: Teen/Adult. This can be knit longer if you prefer a slouchy fit.
Measurements (cm approx): 21cm (height) x 39cm (circumference), to fit approx a 60cm circumference head.
Requirements:
- BWM Classic 12ply or Wollemi 12ply, less than 1x 200g ball
- (sample knit in Wollemi 12ply Paperbark, and used about 78g/102m)
- 6mm circular needle, 40cm/16"
- 6mm double pointed needles
- Yarn needle
- Stitch marker
Tension: 16 stitches over 10cm, knitted in stockinette stitch
