This pattern is written for Cotton 4 ply.
1 pair each 2.75mm and 3.25mm knitting needles and a 2.75mm circular knitting needle, cable needle.

Cable (C4F): slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and leave at front of work, K2, then K2 from cable needle. Cable (C4B): slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and leave at back of work, K2, then K2 from cable needle. Knitting up stitches along cast off edge.
