A decadent lace jumper in Alpaca 8 ply, the Laurel is one you'll love to make and to wear.
Knit flat in pieces from the bottom up with set-in sleeves.
22 stitches to 10cm over stocking stitch using 4.00mm needles. How to check and adjust your tension.
Designed for Alpaca 8 ply, taking advantage of Alpaca's drape and softness. This pattern is suitable for any of our 8 ply wool yarns like Luxury 8 ply or Classic 8 ply, but will have a different effect with less drape (Equivalent yarns: DK or Light Worsted).
1 pair each 3.25mm and 4.00mm needles, 1 circular 3.25mm needle (for working neckband) or size needles to give correct tension, 2 stitch-holders.

Great pattern, very well written and easy to follow. Very happy with the result in Wollemi, Kangaroo Paw.
The pattern is ambiguous in the back ribbing instruction " 15 times more" which I took to mean a total of 32 rows of ribbing. Only discovered when sleeve ribbing was worded "18 rows in rib as for back". Better to say 18 rows in both instructions.
Something different in style and not a difficult knit.
Easy to use and understand, but I think this pattern would be better in a pure alpaca or wool. I'm using a wool alpaca blend and can't really see the pattern. Knits up quickly .

I love this pattern, something different and very easy fit if you don’t like your jumpers tight. Wear it for formal or casual occasions.
Have nearly completed the sleeves and will soon start on the back. Pattern is easy to follow.

Looks lovely in picture, but the pattern is hard to follow and the lace part is quite annoying I kept dropping stitches with the yarn over and knitting together which I unpicked several times, then got fed up with it, I am a fairly experienced knitter but did not like this pattern, it is not raglan shaping which I prefer. This one needs a lot of concentration and a very experienced knitter. I have done quite a few Bendigo patterns especially the slip stitch cardigan which was easy to do and follow and loved. The laurel lace one is very challenging.
